Please feel free to look around. Just don't break anything or you're paying for it.

I was born and raised in LA and lived in New York City and Delaware for a few years. I'm Cuban and Native American. I was also diagnosed with dyslexia and ADHD at a young age.

More currently, I’m freelancing for places like: The Hechinger Report, Associated Press, KUNR in Reno, The Real Deal, Motherboard, Huffington Post, NBC, Environmental Health News and The Current, an investigative nonprofit covering Southern Georgia.

Recently, I was the News Data Analyst at Chronicle of Higher Education. I also taught workshops for Education Writers Association from time to time such as Diving into Data Workshop and Higher Education Seminar.

In my past, I was a Data Reporter for U.S. Agency for Global Media, Courts and Data Fellow at Delaware Online, Freelance Web Producer at Time, Digital Editor at California-based publication The Daily Journal, Visuals Intern at Sacramento Bee and Producing Intern at MSNBC.

I have a BA in Media Studies from Azusa Pacific University and a MA in Journalism from CUNY's Graduate School of Journalism. I also had a short stint in studying economic policy at UC Irvine’s Master in Public Policy program in 2020/2021.
